We wanted tipping to actually matter
In 2023, four mates who loved AFL wanted a tipping format that asked more than one question. Picking a winner mattered, but so did deciding which selections they trusted most.
We asked what would happen if every tip also carried a confidence value. A correct pick could add that value, while an incorrect pick could subtract it.
That question became SureShot Tipping and its confidence-based scoring format.
The core question we ask every tipper: "How confident are you?"
It is not just about picking winners. Assign each available confidence rating once. A correct tip adds that value and an incorrect tip subtracts it under SureShot's default rules.
Pick Your Winners
Select who you think will win each match in the round. Classic tipping, nothing fancy here.
Assign Confidence
Use every available confidence rating once, with the highest value on the tip you trust most.
Calculate the Score
Gain or lose the confidence value assigned to each completed match under the default rules.
